almost there

A little progress update for you. Yesterday, I got all of the rows of triangles sewn into 4 row groupings. With 16 rows, I now only have 3 SEAMS LEFT!! This makes me so incredibly happy. To go from just a thought of what this quilt could look like in my head, to seeing it in photoshop, to almost having it finished right in front of me. Such a great feeling.

And as I am sewing the rows, I am trying my best to get those points to match up! And I'll admit, they're not all perfect, but more are matching up than I expected :)

The next step, planning the back of the quilt. I have some ideas, but haven't completely decided yet. There are so many options, which makes an indecisive person go crazy!

Can't wait to show you the finished top!

Lark

  1. I just fell in love with your quilt. Is this too difficult a pattern for a beginner? I've been wanting to try my hand at quilting (after watching my mom my whole life) but don't know where to start...the colors are gorgeous and make me want to dive in.

    1. Hi Judith! Thank you so much for your comment and love! It made my day :) I think if you have made a quilt before, then you can definitely make this one! The harder part isn't in the sewing, which is just straight lines. It's the cutting. Lots of cutting triangles. And the better you cut them, the easier the sewing is! Good luck and any questions are welcome!
